Assistant Pastor Jules Ngangmeni

I was born into a wonderful Christian family of five brothers and three sisters. My dad was a preacher; Mom was too and usually did her preaching behind the kitchen stove! I got saved at an early age and learned many bible stories, verses and songs. As I teen I made Jesus the Lord of my life and depended on his divine guidance thorough decision-making times at school, career, marriage and family and Christian service.

I am from the Evangelical Church of Cameroon where I served as Youth Minister and Marriage Counselor before coming to the United States. I also worked at the Bible Study Fellowship Movement in Cameroon where I taught the youth and young adult leaders. My training has been mainly church-based and I have taken several theological classes at the affiliated Bible School and at Indiana Wesleyan University.

I studied Electrical engineering at University of Yaound?nd it was while serving as a leader in the Bible Study Fellowship Movement there, that I felt the call of God on my life to become a missionary to another country.

Here at National Wesleyan Church it is a blessing to serve in the capacity of Mission Coordinator for Worship. As I serve the Lord in our community it is my desire to continue to submit and surrender my all to Jesus.

Assistant Pastor Marvin Smalling

MINISTRY: Pastor Smalling and his spouse, Salome have been members of National Wesleyan Church since 1996. He is an ordained minister and a graduate of Fairview Baptist Bible College (Jamaica) and Liberty University. He has had the privilege of serving/ministering in many of the Independent Baptist Churches in Jamaica. Here at National Wesleyan Church Pastor Smalling is the Mission Coordinator for Evangelism.

FAMILY: He and his wife Salome will celebrate their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary on the 20th of July 2010. The Lord has blessed them with three wonderful daughters.

FAVORITE SCRIPTURE: "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6.

PERSONAL MINISTRY PHILOSOPHY: I believe that the primary purpose of our church is to glorify God in making disciples. To do this biblically, we seek to live out the Great Commandment and to fulfill the Great Commission. Our ministry, therefore, exists for the purpose of loving God, loving each other, making disciples, and teaching them to grow toward Christian maturity and effective Christian living.

God's work done God's way will never lack God's supply.

Assistant Pastor Michael Bryson

I have been associated with the National Wesleyan Church (NWC) since 1985, when my sons and I started attending NWC's services and Sunday School and my mother later joined the congregation. From my earliest days at NWC I have been actively involved in various aspects of its ministries. This involvement begun with using my talents and skills as an IT professional to assist the church in purchasing computer equipment, and writing computer software to help the Sunday School department manage its attendance and support its follow up outreach efforts. I was later asked to lead the Sound (Audio/Tape) ministry in 1987, followed by my involvement in and later leadership of the National Wesleyan Men's (NWM) fellowship, singing with the sanctuary choir and Chorale, serving as member-at-large on the LBA and on the Board of Christian Education, publishing a Wesleyan Men's newsletter, and most recently as part of the pastoral staff.

I have worked as a high school science and math teacher in my native Jamaica, and as an IT professional with a degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland. I am the father of three adult sons, and also a grandfather.

My family upbringing has played significantly in my own life today. I am the 6th of 7 children of the late Rev. Jeremiah Bryson and Pilarcita Bryson. My father was a Pentecostal pastor, and the Overseer of the Assemblies of the First Born (AFB) churches in Jamaica and Britain. Both my parents were very serious and active Christians who taught and raised their children in the Christian faith. As a result of this upbringing, my own commitment to ministry today is based on their examples of committed lives to God that I and my siblings observed in them. Although I did not foresee my path to ministry in my early years, like my father I have also experienced the call to pastoral ministry. My aim is to follow and serve the Lord, and to be a witness to all that God's word, love, and His redeeming and transforming power are valid and real today.

And I hold a strong belief in the relational nature of God (the Trinity), of the Gospel message, and of the Christian faith. I am a strong supporter of family; and I also hold firmly to the unity of the Body of Christ across races, cultures, ethnicities, creeds, and nations. I look forward to spending time with my children, my grandson, and my extended family; being in fellowship with believers; and interacting with my fellow humans who, broken like me, need God's love, redemption and transforming power to bring them into wholeness and fellowship with God and each other, through Christ Jesus.

My major area of pastoral responsibility is Ministry Pillar Coordinator for the following auxiliaries: Nursery, Family Life, Communications, Business Owners, Senior Adults (JOY), Drama, and Singles. I also teach baptism and membership classes at NWC. I thank God for the opportunity He has given me at NWC to serve Him, His people, and His human creations He has always loved. And, I remain fully available to Him to accomplish His purposes through my life.
