MINISTRY: Pastor George Bassey has been a member of National Wesleyan Church since 1991. He is an ordained minister and a graduate of The Wesleyan Church Department of Education & The Ministry. Before becoming the senior pastor, Pastor Bassey served as the assistant pastor in charge of Family Life Ministry.

He is excited about the great things that God is doing at National Wesleyan Church: new faces from various nationalities, new ministries, brighter vision, numerous blessings of God to his congregants, and the warm fellowship, among many others.

He also served in various leadership roles in the African Christian Fellowship, USA (ACF), an inter-denominational, international organization. These roles include: Chapter President, Regional Vice President, Regional President, and Program director for orphans and victims of HIV/AIDS in Uganda.

FAMILY: He is married to Grace Bassey (a Registered Nurse) who is a Marriage Class teacher and also active in the Sanctuary Choir of the church. Together, they are blessed with three sons: George Jr., Samuel and Godfrey. Their sons also play active roles in the church, including usher board and audio visual ministries. The Basseys enjoy international travel, various sports and family time.

OTHER CAREERS: He holds a BS degree in Information Technology, an MBA, and many professional certificates. Before being called into fulltime ministry, he worked in various IT and related organizations.

FAVORITE SCRIPTURE: "One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple." Psalm 27:4
